These digital montages are made from magazine images, Photoshop Brushes and Shapes, and occasionally original photographs. I usually work with images from vintage magazines, especially those that were popular in the golden age of Hollywood in the 1920s and 30s, as well as early mail order catalogues. I am interested in the methods of photographic reproduction and how they have developed over the decades since the first photographic images were used in magazines in the 19th Century.
